This notice explains what personal data MyBestPicks.in collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we can.

Email updates

If you sign up for email updates, we store:

  • your email address
  • when you agreed to receive emails, and which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to
  • when you confirmed your subscription using the link we email you

We don't ask for your name or any other details. We use your address only to send occasional emails about our guides. Our emails are sent through an email service provider that acts on our behalf.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Using it deletes your email address from our list straight away.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to deal with your request.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve our guides. It only runs if you click Accept on our analytics banner. If you decline, or don't choose, Google Analytics is not loaded and sets no cookies.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, and your device, browser and approximate location. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

You can change your choice at any time using the Analytics settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop loading Google Analytics and remove its cookies from this site.

Cookies

  • Analytics choice (analytics_consent): remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, for up to 6 months.
  • Google Analytics cookies: set only after you accept analytics.
  • Security cookie: protects our sign-up form from forged submissions.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, as explained in our Affiliate Disclosure. We don't record your clicks on these links on our servers. When you follow one, the retailer (such as Amazon) or affiliate network may use cookies to record that you came from us. Their own privacy policies apply.

Advertising

We don't currently show advertising. If we add it, we will update this notice first, and ask for your consent where it is required.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers automatically record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use it only to keep the site secure and working.

What we never do

  • We don't sell or rent personal data.
  • We don't import contacts from our Telegram channel or any other source.
  • We don't load analytics before you have given consent.

Your rights

Under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can withdraw consent at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it. To make a request or raise a concern, visit our Contact page.

Children

Our email updates are meant for adults. If you are under 18, please don't sign up.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects subscribers, we will also mention it in our next email.
